After several months of hearing about our terrible economy from a plethera of people, I have decided to get on my soap box again. I have several topics to discuss from the Gov't bailout, CEO's, Unions, and maybe a little personal responsibility.
Why do these major companies expect bailouts? If I cant afford my lifestyle will the government give me money to continue? NO. I would either have to file for bankruptcy or get on welfare.
Why then, are we the people supporting these embezzling fat cats? Have we become the ignorant masses? These bailouts claim to be for the company. Why are we seeing executive company getaways and CEO's demanding 10 Million dollar bonuses? We continue to be fed these lies and swallow them whole. I say make an example out of a couple companies. I understand the repercussions, but make an example out of someone people tend to straighten up and fly right. Our money is just that our money. I do not want my money being spent on a private flight to DC or a Union worker who hides behind his/her own union brethren to complain about making 40 bucks an hour.
I was raised understanding you had to work hard for your money and no one was going to give you anything. You had to earn it and take what was rightfully yours. Most importantly, do not get cocky about your God given success and live outside your means because one day God might take it away from you. (Im pretty sure is says that somewhere in the Bible)
Where did I miss the course in college called "Whinning: Do it enough and someone will take care of you"? At one time the unions were needed. Something has gone horribly wrong since that time. The unions have become the bosses. Not necessarily a bad thing to an extent. Companies are now forced to pay and compensate the blue collar workers so much it is breaking the companies. WOW. What away to bite the hand that literally feeds you and your family. Whatever happened to compromise and commitment? We are talking about a kind of marriage here. A marriage between an employer and employee. One that says you are here for me and ill be here for you. Now, it looks to be more of a Hollywood divorce. Each side is screwing and complaining about the other side while in the mean time leaving the kids(us) to fend for ourselves. Maybe it has come time to divorce our jacked up parents and find new ones? I hear the steel industry has good parents.
These CEOs and their cronies should be rounded up and sent to prison. Im not speaking about the Martha Stewart kind of prison. Im thinking about the Michael Vick, Dennis Rader sort of Prison. These white-collar subhumans do not kill, they commit far worse crimes. They rape and steal from the masses and their pocketbooks. Maybe all of this has stemed from a another more pressing issue with our country?
Could it be the citizens need more than two political parties to choose from. I hear many discuss the need for a third party candidate. Someone who truly represents the people and not the companies and their personal interests. I love my country, its people, and what it stands for but, now when it looks to be one of the darker points in our history we ALL need to work together to conquer this economic demon and invest right back in it. Now is the perfect time to invest and and get on the ground floor or our economic recovery. God will not give us anything we can not handle and apparently we can handle a lot. I hope we the younger generation will wake up and not continue this childish charade allowed by the ignorant m"asses".

Spoken by a true Republican! I agree. It is time for us to take a hard look at what is happening around us and get back on track to doing what is necesssary to make people learn to fend for themselves and not give so many handouts to everyone who think they can get it just because they think they "deserve" it.
