AND THE NEXT PREZ IS.....

After many months of analyzing each political candidate, I ve come to the conclusion and my vote for the next leader of the free world. Before I inject my thoughts deep into your cerebellum, I must entertain you with the process that has led me to my decision.

First and foremost, I am a Soldier. I will proudly serve and defend our country regardless of the leader.(Well, if for some strange reason Mr Aminidijad or Mr Jung-Ill were to take office I might reconsider my allegience) This being said and sounding an incredibly similiar as to that of a product guarantee on the telelvision, I may continue. (for those who know me, Im not thinking to "expand the empire" nor " support a military coup.") We are not here to discuss policy. Well, maybe a little.

Every candidate has an agenda, of course. Every candidate is making enough money to support the policies he/she may one day bestow upon us. Both sides have their ideas and to some extent are good. But, a lot of things look good on paper i.e. communism. Great thought and idea.... on paper but is not Capitalism and I must say I love making money and competition. I would support a common person in the White House. Someone who cannot afford the luxuries politics ironically possesses. Politicians are there to serve as long as they can do it from the comfort of their yaughts or summer homes. This person could have money but not be corrupted by the dealings with big business. (God forbid I stop someone from making HONEST money ) Like the famed rapper 50 Cent says, "Get rich or die tryin '." This candidate is loved by millions and hated by few. My candidate for office.............ROBIN WILLIAMS.

Mr Williams showed excellent potential in the movie, Man of the Year. I believe he spoke about the main issues that are troubling our great nation. He had America realize its not above any political/corporate corruption and it has faults like any other nation. Lord knows I would rather be in this nation dealing with corruption than to be dealing with it in the Darfur.

As much as people like to "bitch" and "complain" about our political system and its leaders we have to admit it is the lesser of fucked nations to live in and thats what makes it great. That and the fact nothing ever gets accomplished.....wait four years you can change the policy back to your liking. So, in 2008 do the right thing vote for Robin Williams. If he fucks its up at least he can make it appear funny and America can laugh about it. (If not Robin Williams, than who your guy/gal sucks)

The best friend ever......

When all is lost and one thinks the ways of world have swallowed all that is good, right and moral....my best friend rescues me from my flu-like hell. I was stuck in Topeka's Clubhouse Suites on temporary duty and became sick in the middle of the night. After attempting to fight a severe migrane for a few hours, I commenced in hurling everything up out of my body for what seemed to be an eternity.

It is amazing what someone will think about as they are hurling there guts into the porcelin god. During my hurling experience, my thoughts consisted of, "shit, I have the Flu","how am I going to get home from Topeka, Im too sick to drive", and most famously,"I dont remember eating that." I think possibily threw up so much a little bit of my soul came out.

This is only the second time in my life I felt like I could die. I most definitely couldnt drive back home and I couldnt stay in the hotel, I didnt really know what my options were at the time. I called my parents, they couldnt help until later that evening. I called my wife, she couldnt help(logistics would have been a nightmare). I called my friend, my ally, my brother,Bill.

Bill and I have been through all kinds of things together, college, war, and most importantly the trials and blessing that life grants. As Im calling Bill, I m thinking," if he would just let me sleep on his couch for a few hours my parents could come and help me out." Oh no, that is not what happened. Bill came to the hotel, made sure I made it to his house okay, and when all was fine and I thought I was good to go took the day off and drove me home to Pittsburg. His wife, Carrie took the day off too and followed us to Pitt. This amazed the hell out of me. All Bill said about the matter was, "dont mention it" and "you would have done the same for me." I would have to agree, I believe I would do anything for him as any family would do for each other. Bill is the Goose to my Maverick, the Robin to my Batman, and most importantly the black guy to Don Johnson in Miami Vice. He is truely my battle buddy through life. He made sure I made it to the one place I could recover, my home. I must say there is something about being sick in your own home that makes you feel better to a certain degree. Bill and Carrie, are great friends to have in your life and would almost do anything for.(Taking a bullet is pushing it a little)

So this my first blog, the one thing I told myself I would never sellout too, is dedicated to my best friend, Bill. ( BEST FRIEND NEXT TO MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE SHERRY AND MY WONDERFUL DOG, MARLEY)
